Cluster Four: Digital Heritage

This cluster investigates digital technologies associated with heritage and the digital humanities and seeks to understand the ways these technologies impact heritage production, display and re-use. It also encompasses the challenges and opportunities of digitizing and mapping of cultural heritage. The projects under this cluster engage technology to produce innovative forms of archaeological data retrieval, analysis and eventual dissemination through, for example, predictive data modelling, artificial intelligence and virtual reality. In doing so, it strives to improve the collection, use, management, preservation and dissemination and visualization of digital cultural heritage. This cluster will contribute to the understanding of heritage creation processes and develops applications for stakeholders in cultural heritage. This cluster utilizes data from all other clusters as its source material while at the same time contributing towards interpretation and modelling of data that will support analysis across projects in all clusters.
